Subject: Door lock interface

Hello Dakota people...I want to install my alarm (Viper 500+) before I install any audio components. Question is, I know the door lock trigger takes a plain 12volt positive pulse, but unlock has to be done as a 5-wire reverse polarity configuration when the truck has factory keyless entry (which mine has). Has anyone done this successfully, or is it easier to just interface with the lock/unlock function of the factory alarm? This can be done by using a negative trigger (through relays) with a 600 ohm resistor on the lock output and a 1300 ohm resistor on the unlock output to the light green/orange wire in the driver's door jamb harness. It takes a double pulse for unlock this way, but it seems to be less trouble to me. Any info or diagrams would be most appreciated. Thanks for any help.
