i haven't pulled the dash apart yet, but does my factory 2001 rounded infinity head unit have the same old plugs as the older squared off infinity decks? reason i ask is that i want to purchase the wiring harness adapter to tap power for my new alpine deck so i don't have to cut into the existing wiring.

Call crutchfield, They will have exactly what you want. Also if you are looking at replacing any of the speakers, don't forget to order the speaker brackets and wire plug converters. Also you will want to buy the DIN face mounting bracket, just make sure that you test fit it to your dash before screwing it down, it only fits one way, and well I installed it upside down the first time... duh...
