 Subject: audiobahn vs phenixgold subs?

Right now I'm thinking of going with a bow with 2 10's in my truck under the back seat and possible adding a 3rd at the center console. the subs I am looking at are the audiobahn flamed sups with 6 inch mounting depth, the audiobahn ulta excursion(I beleive this is the sub I want), or pheonix gold subs. I havn't ever heard much about pheonix golds subs. I know they make killer amps, but are there subs any good? they don't look like anything special.

i think they both sux. i have heard the phenix golds before and i was not impressed. however their amps rule. i don't like auiobhan's line of anything. subs to amps. a friend of mine has 3 12 audiobahn's and they were suppose to the the "bad ass ones" and instead of being "badAzz" it sounded like Azz...Bad. go solobaric.

I hate solobarics. I think the L7's sound like crap. I have xtants now and like them I just need mor room in the truck.

hes right don't but either subs they both suck. But if you had to choose go with audiobahn alum. Descent with a alright price.

systems I have been listening to is the installs they do at soundadvice. had them hook a set up to my 1507 in the trunk of my old car. they beat hard but I wasn't impressed with the sound quality.
just personal opinion.

Dude i dont sugest gettting pheonix gold because i worked in an audio store that sold them and the do suck, but i know audiobahn sucks ass too they're all show and no go. Go Eclipse.

not true...before i bought my truck i had a setup with 3 audiobahn 12's and 3 audiobahn amps...sounded great and had higher db levels than most my friends with similar systems of RF, JL Audio, and Kicker...my personal favorite when it comes to amps and subs in Memphis however...they make great products...

I have never heard a Pheonix Gold system but i have heard Audiobahns. They are awesome, they beat down and the sound quality is great.

my one friend got 2 audiobahn high excursions (12's) and an audiobahn 1200 watt amp, and to be honest, they pound! It convinced me to buy a 10" audiobahn natural sound sub for my dakota, which is audiobahn's base model. After some research, i found that it beats harder than mtx thunder 6000's and rockford he2's. If you want perfect sound quality, some may be better, but if you after SPL's, audiobahns are the way to go. Spend money on a good amp too. People i know say that high end subs(like audiobahns) sound like crap, but their amps suck. It makes a huge difference

I'm sorry but I can't put much stock in a company that has to put faggoty ass flames on their products to sell them. Go function over style man, JL, Eclipse, MTX (some of their stuff is nice). I'm not impressed with solo's either they seem like a gimmick there is a reason why 99.9999% of all speakers are round.

Both of them are overrated, why not go with something like Element Designs or Resonant Engineering. You can't get much more for the money. Either that or go with Adire's. The Element Design EDK-10's are some of the best subs out on the market and will blow away most of what is on the mass market

But i thing if you want a bad ass bass You Should really Try "W6", i have PhenixGold T 1200.2 Amp and 2 12" W6 they really shake my ride sometime they Pop my trunk.

dude go with audiobahn they are great i have only one 12 inch sub with 1200 watts goin to it and it pounds louder than anything i have heard. mines in a slot loaded box. audiobahn all the way dude.

yo i have 2 solo's 15" L7 an i have it hooked up to a soungstream amp an that hit really hard but i dont like audiobahn they are mostly all about looks an show i dont like that my solo's hit harder then anything i ever heard so far phoenix gold makes the best kind of amp i no of soundsstream makes really good amps memphis makes good ones rockforfosgate makes good ones i wouldnt get a jl audio amp or kicker i never herd phenix gold subs soo i really wouldnt no much i donno how they hit jl audio makes really good subs i heard thier subs hit befor the w6 an im lookin 2 probley buy 2 12" w7
