I'm pretty sure that's for a full-size truck, not a Dakota. I really don't think it's possible to put a sub UNDER the back seat in a dakota QC, there's just not enough room (I'd love to be proven wrong on that however because I'd like to put one there).

there was a guy on this board about a year ago that made one to fit behind the rear seat in a QC . It looked trick but I dont know how well it sounded or fit. I have just recently become reinterested in upgrading my sounds and would like to see this again if anyone knows of it.

I just installed a pair of 8" Rockfords behind the rear seats in my '02 Quad. They were a bit of a bitch to install, but they sound good. I should have pics in a week or so...

Let me know if you want any addional info.

Thanks

YES I would like to see pics if and when you can. Also I just ran outside to look at things but DAMN its cold. Is the rear seat one continuous assembly? Or are they two different seats and brakets. And also are the seat backs anchored to the rear wall or just the pivot bracket. IDEA...unresearched idea..... seats fold down and just rest on floor ...so why not move them forward three inches or so (assuming the back of the seats move with the bottom)....small extension bracket for the seat mounting and seatbelelts to move the whole deal forward. Little "feet" on the back of the seat to let it rest against the wall again...should create more space for box. Am I way off? again unresearched idea! just thinking outloud. My backseat is rarely occupied except by my son. '01 qc btw

Jeff,
No doubt, finally starting to snow here in Nebraska, only the 3rd time this winter...

The seats are two totally independant parts. The backs are hooked over two rings (each seat is attached by two hooks) to the back wall.

You could skip using the rear rings to hold it to the back wall, but I wouldn't recommend it. As for moving the seats forward, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Creating a bracket to allow this would be difficult unless you're an engineering god. Plus the seats would not sit properly on the floor. I'm sure you have noticed that the rear seats sit directly on the floor, not like the RAM where there are some metal flooring under the seats...

My boxes were .33 cu ft and they barely fit, I'll try to get the dimensions tonight and post them.

Jeff,
You can see what the seats look like on this Ebay auction.

I don't know if this will help any of you out or not but this is what i did too my Club Cab's rear seats. The botom is fiberglass and it holds two 10 inch subs. I put the seats back over top, the seats are a litle bit higher now then before but it helps you fit back there if your tall. With the seats on top of it's hard to see that there back there but it sounds great.
