I'm currently putting together my system (at least in my head and on paper). I'd like to have a nice sounding system, with superb clarity, but without rattling mirrors 3 cars away. I'm thinking about putting an 8" solo-baric under the center console. Should I go with an S5 or S7? I'll be pushing it with an RF 100x2 or 200x2, the old waffle style.

i got 1 12" l7 and it hits wicked hard. its an extremely power hungry sub tho. if you dont want some to major go with the l5. both are great subs

i have a L5 12 i could sell you. it wants 600 watts but thats easy with a jbl 600.1 wich i onlt $125. i'll sel the sub for 180 the shipping

Thanks, but a 12 would be too big for where I want it to go. Plus, I don't want to be tightening screws every other week. I'm just trying to figure out which sub would work best for my application.

my 12 l7 doesnt rattle anything. it hits like crazy but nothin rattles. my truck is brand new though so everything better tightened down pretty good. i would go with the l7. i mean you already gonna be payin a little bit for the l5, why not just pay a little more and get more power and better bass? thats just my opinion

Just to let you know, Crutchfield.com has Solo-Baric L7's 8" for $99.99 right now. They are the 2001 style with the black cone and dual 4-ohm voice coils. I just purchased 2 myself. This is a great price, they were originally $229.99. Hope this helps.
