you gotta get a "line out converter". you hook it up to the speaker line and it turns it into RCA's

That's nuts. Why would you bother trying to hook stuff up to the stocker? Its a big waste. Save a little more and get a new head unit too.

I kept the stock head unit, but only after running it to an EQ. I have a kenwood full din EQ mounted to the front of the 20 seat (40/20/40). Ran that to amps under the seats going to the doors, and a sub behind the rear seat. Sounds great, and best of all, everything looks stock.
