I have an empty thunderform box for my 00' r/t and read a few posts where some people went with a set of kicker comp vr 10's and were pleased. They have dual voice coils so this is throwing me off, I know I'm an idiot. Anyhow here is a link to the exact speakers only I'm getting them off ebay.

So anyhow, what would be a good amp at a great price? .. I don't need the latest expensive gear, just clean and somewhat powerful. Or just tell me what (ohm,mono,2-channel, etc) I need to look for. As always, thanks a ton for your input!

Just some information that my be useful in your decision, at least I found it useful.. when I installed (4) of the same spekers in my sons setup.

First check the thunderform's depth. The Kickers require 5 3/16" depth, plus another 1/2" for venting, air-flow, below the magnet.

Second visit the kicker support web-site http://www.kicker.com/Support.cfm, download the installation and tech-tips documents.

The Dual 2-ohm voice coils will give you a choice to wire them in series=4ohm, or parallel=1ohm load for each speaker to the amp.. into an amp with 2 channels Right/Left. You must wire/use both voice coils. You could also then connect the speakers in series or parallel or some combination and do some more math to determine the load.

They are great speakers.... especially if you break them in properly.

how do you break them in? .. so your saying I could could just get a mono amp and wire the speakers parallel? If so how would a parallel setup go? .. from the amp to voice coil one on say speaker one then wire that to it's second voicecoil .. then jump from there to voice coil one on speaker two and jump from there to it's second voicecoil, know what I mean? Is that correct?

thanks man!
