has anyone ever been able to put in the steering wheel controls for the stereo system on a truck that didn't have it? The truck does have the radio for it.

...or for that matter :

Has anyone heard of aftermarket head-units that would integrate with the factory steering-wheel controls?

I'm totally dependent on my controls, but I think the head-unit (Infinity CD/cass) is pretty weak. 3% THD? C'mon.....

Broeheem,

Pacific Accessories Corporation (PAC)
Makes a great unit. I have one using a
Blaupunkt. I beleive you need the SWI-3 unit.
Go to there website and it has full instructions
on how to wire it. You might want to have a
stereo shop do it depending on your electronic
skill level. It cost 75 bucks. This is the only unit
I know of.

i've seen sony put one out (might only work for thier units though)...looks like wiper controls though, nothing for the steering wheel itself, just the column. if you find out one for the wheel, let the world know!
