I just bought my 2000 dakota, and I am trying to find a toolbox for the bed, but I am having a hard time finding one to fit, since the dimensions are 57 inches, which is bigger than most small trucks, but smaller than a full size truck. I have searched the web, but have yet to come across anything. Does anyone know where I can get one to fit? Thanks!

It's a wierd size and I had a hard time finding one for mine as well. (Wound up with a toolbox from Home Depot that cam close.)

Check the measurements of the boxes at Home Depot...mine was only off by 2" on length.

I ordered a chest style box, (diamond plate aluminum finish)from WalMart in June 1999. It does not sit up on the rails. I ordered it so it allowed some room on each side for small cargo or the ends of long boards, etc. It is made by Better Built but I believe Walmart (at least where I am) does not sell them anymore.
