 Subject: CW , Power door lock noise?

Never heard this before , but when the doors lock with the switch or remote, I am getting a wierd noise.Does not happen with the key. Called the dealer , and was told this happends all the time. The moter is going bad. Now , I would think someone here would have had this problem before and was wondering if you know anything about this. Heck , the truck only had 12,798 miles on it , how long do these things last?

They can go bad fairly quickly. If it makes kinda screaching or whining noise the gears are slipping. Need a new solinoid. It may come with the latch as well.

O.K dealer was very cool about this , and no problems. Except they didn't have the part in!! Now I gotta wait till it comes in (tuesday , maybe) and not get it fixed till thursday!!! If this is a common problem , I would have thought they would have some in stock. Oh well , its gonna get done , so no problems!!

If the parts depo has them and I think everyone does... Overnight.

They got it Wednesday , and are gonna fix it this Saturday. Now its doing something else though. Now it will not un-lock when I go to get out using the handle. Do you think they will fix this too?

Fixed and doin fine!! Shure is good to hear a good sloid "chunk" when it locks again , as opposed to the sound of a rabbit in a leg snare , lol!
