My friend, who own an f-10(I kindda feel sorry for him) saw on his ford site that they are gonna put an Austin Martin(ford owned)engine in some of the new Dodge Rams. I think its eather a v-10 or v-12. If so, why would they do that? Other than the fact that the people that make those engines , don't want to put them in a ford junk heap with a bed , hehehe!!

I have heard that one too. I must say Cat makes one heck of a diesel engine. We have a Kodiak flat bed at work that has a Cat engine in it that has over 220,000 miles on it. Nothing has been done to it and its driven VERY hard.

Is there any truth to this rumor, FOMOCO bought or owns an interest in Cummins
I've heard this many times also.

Actually, I heard that they are coming out with a Ram SRT-10, which will basically be the Ram with a Viper engine in it. I can't seem to find the link to the article for the life of me though. I have read that it will be out around 2004 and they are talking close to $40,000 for it. Don't hold me to any of these details though.

Yup, they had it at the Detroit auto show. I was hoping they would bring it to the recent Toronto show, but they didn't. I spoke to one of the reps, it is slated for production this September. It does a 0-60 in 5 sec., 500 hp and over 500 lb tq!
There is a fair bit of info on the net about it if you do a google search, I've read plenty about it, especially to do with concept, or auto show prototypes.

This truck was built for one sole purpose... to stomp a lightning stock... and, I think they just did with a little(heh, little) overkill.
