'00, CC, 4.7 Turbo, 5-speed, 3.92s
15-17 mpg mixed driving, 19-20 mpg on the hiway.
About 5 mpg at WOT & in boost.
My previous '98 R/T with 5.9 got a best ever of 13.3 mpg on the hiway.
It generally got 10-12 in mixed driving.

12-13mpg with a lead foot...
16.8 best Freeway...
Good thing I bought it for the power and not the mileage! Nothing beats a Dakota!

20 MPG at 70 mph and only 15 MPG at 85 mph. Just get up about 5 feet from a semi so the rocks won't hit you and he can't see you, instant 30 mpg. About 17 MPG city driving, with a light foot, which is very hard to do.

I did my first fillup the other day on my new truck (2000 4.7 CC auto 3.55 gears) and had gotten 13.4 all in town driving, including flooring it twice, and being stuck in a puddle for an hour and spinning a good deal.
Highway I'm pullin 19-20, maybe more.

22 mpg @ 70 mph, 15-17 mpg over 100 mph, don't do any city driving so I don't know. 2002 CC/4.7L 5 Speed/3.92's price $4.19 gallon.

13 MPG average
City (to/from work) or on the highway at 70MPH while towing my boat (2,500lbs) makes no difference. A/C on 90% of the time in the FL heat.
Are you people going by the overhead computer? I heard that thing is off by atleast 2 MPG. My numbers are from the odometer and actually gallons pumped.

I just bought an 02 Dakota Sport Quad cab 4x4 with the 4.7 I got 17.5 MPG on my first tank of gas. I traded in my 00 Mustang GT on the Dakota, so I'm very happy with this mileage. I expect it'll go up once it's broken in, and I just finished installing a home brew CAI as well.

My '01 QC 4.7 4x4, best ever highway mpg, 23, backed it with 21 and 20, something about non crap Ca gas when I was in Co last year, average around town, 14-15, avg hwy is 17-18

Damn Selcher, that's very high. I own a 2002 CC 4.7L Auto 3.55 LSD that gets 16.5-17 in town and 21-22 on the highway. It gets 19 MPG at 90 MPH over a three hour road trip here in GA (HWY 75 S).

I've been very pleased with the mileage this truck has given me. Other people around here with the similar vehicle aren't getting the mileage I am. I have a friend with the same truck only with the 3.9L and I get better mileage than him all the way around. I guess I got a Wednesday truck or something? I calculated my mileage during the summer months and it did go up after putting on the tonneau cover.

Normally by refill time, the overhead on my 99 r/t read around 14.6-15. the first week i had it, i pulled an amazing 18 mpg out of it, just to prove a point to my dad. the 14.6 is with racing included, im pleased with it, even though its not the greatest on efficiency.

With my new heads and cam I get about 9mpg. Thats about $200 a month in gas, fill it up 2 times a week at around $24 each time. It adds up, good thing I'm single. :)

Does anyone know of anything on the market or being discussed regarding conversion kits from gas to alternate fuels?
It is a big topic "out there" because of the cost and death of oil.
I own a 2k, 4.7, 4x4, quad cab getting 15mpg city.

yates-in-DE - some Daks have this computer/compass/temp deal over the rearview mirror and I've heard the thing was wacky. Just wondering if people that are getting good numbers are using it for calculations.
My old POS 4.0l V6 Ranger got the same MPG, but could not move (or tow) like my Dak, so I'm happy. I know not having bed cover is hurting me, but only like 1 MPG... also going to throw a K&N air filter in, always had one in my other vehicles and was happy with it over the sorry stock one.

If I drive it like miss daisy up to 80 I can squeze 20-21.9 MPG HWY driveing. The way I drive it I get about17-19( I have to re acclerate alot) at 80 on HWY and 16 around town. If I turn the A/C on then it drops about 2 MPG across the board!

I did the custom bent 3 inch chrome tube intake with a K&N cone....70 series flowmaster with twin (stock) pipes behind each rear tire....gives me 18 around town and 24 on the road. Sounds like an old 340 Duster motor. Got a little increase in low end torque thru 3000 rpm. Thought about a hyperchip, but afraid it would kill the milege. Can't find a chip anyway for the 4.7 What do you think??????
