i have the turbocharged v6. And i know of a turbocharged v8 that can blow the doors off my truck... but then again i know of a twin turbocharged V8 that i could blow the doors off of.

because when you start off having a V6 its easier to mod.. 5.9 wasnt available for those genII guys and i couldnt find a regular cab intense blue and sunroof in a V8 dakota.. infact i couldnt find any used V8 dakotas in my price range. Making a V6 go faster than a V8 is easier than converting to a V8... cost of a new motor and tranny and hardware isnt cheap.

as intense said its not all about pride really its what you got to work with. my truck was the only one i could afford at the time and i needed one immediatly (blew a piston in my van) so i worked with what i got. and while a v-6 wont handle a v-8 mod for mod i'll still suprise a few people. gonna get to the track this week to get some new times with the cam and rr's i'm willin to bet it'll beat a handful of R/Ts

if you work your 6 the right way it wont be hard to smoke an 8 but it also comes down to the driver i would race r/t's with a 6cyl with minor mods and smoke em cause they cant race
drive what you got hard and go big or go home
