This is the original engine and still going strong, just leaks a little oil. Replace Trans at 412,000.

154000 1994 Sport v6, 5 Speed. I'm also in the middle of installing my 3rd timing chain.

Caught it just in time too! Damn thing has so much slack in it,(3-4 inches) It chewed part of the tab off the inside of the timing case and ate quite a bit off of the oiler on the cam thrust plate!

I can almost lift the chain off without removing the gears.

Was a cheapo AutoZone timing set, Never again!

1995 4x4 128,000

parts that had to be replaced

1 headlight
1 dome light
2 tail lights
1 front drive shaft
both front wheel bearings
o2 sensor
TPS sensor
and just the normal maintainace items
a very economical truck to have bought new in
dec 1994

at 126,000 I put a double roller chain in and a
hotter cam also has all the mods and bolton's
ported intake and a stage 2 jet chip all sythetics

last mileage check was 24.4 mpg how can you beat
that

The motor is a 92 but that was because I pulled
the org to put a stroker crank in sitting in my
garage on a stand with 30,000 on redone motor for
another project some day always had thoughts of
putting it into a light car like the old volary
or dodge diplomat with all the fuel injection and
wire harnass from a truck just think what the
mileage would be in a light 2 wheel car

Oh on its 4th set of tires
org
cooper discover
cooper ST
now uniroyal all terran

I'm installing a new water pump today, but this
thing is my favorite vehicle. So far I have fixed the following.

New Radiator
Clutch
ALternator (2)
transfer case leaked/fixed
loose exhaust manifold/fixed with helicoil
water pump

Plus I had new ball joints and a few front-end parts replaced.

Drives straight, always starts just great, and I get about 18.5 mpg on average. I'm thinking I should do a few bolt-on mods to up the power and maybe increase the MPG when I'm not pushing my foot down too hard.

The paint is going pretty quickly now, but the sheet metal is excellent and as a Colorado vehicle there is no rust.
