I was looking for a place to do that around the North GA area. I found alot of off-road parks but most cater to ATV and dirt bikes. And many don't have beginner courses (I'm not about to take my new dak seriously offroading with it's stock configuration). I did hear about some forestry roads that are not closed because they access some fairly remote fishing and camping areas that are fairly rough from a few fishing websites I go to. You may check the state and nationals parks in your area.

My wife has never been off roading and I was looking to do that for an afternoon and also fly fish the rest.

I just did a google search and found alot.

1. Drive to the edge of the road.
2. Turn right.
3. Go for the bushes

It's that easy.

that's all fine and dandy but I live in the city and in the country all the land is owned by some body. I have daveled in a little urban off roading at a local grade school and a very steep hill and would not prefer to do it again because I almost got caught the first time.

I live out in Michigan and right now it is warming up and flooding everywhere... The back country dirt roads are usually a fun place... i've been eyeing up this one road by my house i'm thinking of hitting it tomarrow it has ruts in it like you wouldn't believe, why its a road and not a driveway is beyond me... Theres only one house on the whole road!

Take some time and come out to Utah. This place is an offroaders dream. We have everything from high elevation mountain forest roads with rivers and mud all the way to open desert roads and rock crawling. So come over and play, the roads are dirty and fun!

Hey PB, I've been looking for a place to go around Omaha ever since I got my Dak. I've can't believe there isn't anything around here, not even over in Council Bluffs. I though for sure there would be something over there in the hills. The closest thing I could find was a poorly maintained dirt road with a bunch of pot holes. Let me know if you find anything, and I'll join you!

Hey If you guys read Four Wheelers "latest" issued magazine they have a list of all the offroad parks in the US.

You could also go here for info...
